Notes —After analyzing specimens of A. megaphyllum and A. myristicifolium , we verified that both present long leaves (> 15 cm long) with eucamptodromous venation, rigid inflorescence axis, flowers with calyx lobes varying from four to five, entirely tomentose ovary, and sessile follicles, and membranaceous seeds. So, we consider A. megaphyllum as a synonym of A. myristicifolium .
