Frons 1.2 times as wide as eye; gena 1/11 as high as eye; wing 3.2–3.5 (3.2) mm long, r-m before middle of cell dm (15: 22). Genitalia: surstylus ( Figs 4, 5 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ) with small protuberance at middle of inner side; cercus with 8–10 strong posterior setae; phallapodeme ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 5 ) 480 µm long; mesophallus almost as long as basiphallus, with sclerites entirely separated; distiphallus 410 µm long. Body length 3.8–4.0 (3.8) mm. Other characters quite similar to those of P. bivittata .

Differing from the male in the following points: anterior semicircular marking on mesoscutum larger, and postsutural stripes not split; scutellum entirely black; katepisternum brown on anterior 3/4 of pleural length; anatergite and katatergite distinctly brownish; mediotergite centrally brown; T6 and T7 yellow; ovipositor black at base but yellow distally; wing length 3.2 mm, body length 3.5 mm.
