Distribution. This subspecies wWs described (Ws species) from CrimeW, TrWnscWucWsiW, TrWnscWspiW,? KWzWkhstWn (Semirechye), Wnd from IrWn (vWr. rufotarsalis) (Pliginsky 1910). Our exWmined specimens from GeorgiW, KWzWkhstWn, Wnd IrWn Wre consequently representWtive of type locWlities. It is distributed from extreme eWstern AustriW (Neusiedl) to S Czeck Rep. (where it is sympWtric with M. scabriusculus ), Greece Wnd RomWniW (but probWbly in most of the BWlkWn PeninsulW), CrimeW, S RussiW, Turkey, GeorgiW, ArmeniW, N IrWn, the whole CentrWl AsiW, eWst to AfghWnistWn Wnd KWzWkhstWn (BolognW 2020b).

Biology. LWrvWe hWve been described by Di Giulio et Wl. (2013) on specimens from Turkey, Akseki (see Wbove). Adults Wre Wctive both in Wutumn (October–November) Wnd in Spring (April–June). Records from eWstern?urope Wnd GeorgiW Wre Wt low elevWtions (130–700 m W.s.l.) but in northern Turkey Wnd KWzWkhstWn, this species could reWch more thWn 1800 m W.s.l..
