Type material. Holotype, illustrated in Gábor (1936: pl. 1, fig. 2). probably in the Hungarian Natural History Museum.

Type locality. Eger ( Hungary) .

Stratigraphy. Late Oligocene/Early Miocene, Egerian.

Discussion. It is a subjective junior synonym of Ptychopotamides cinctus (Bruguière, 1792) .

Central Paratethys Sea. Egerian (late Oligocene/Early Miocene): Hungarian Paleogene Basin: Eger ( Hungary)
