Discussion. Within the moderately preserved specimens from Pielach ( Austria), Fuchs (1868) distinguished numerous “varieties” of Granulolabium plicatum (Bruguière, 1792) , which he identified with taxa described by Sandberger (1859) from the Rupelian of the Mainz Basin (like Cerithium plicatum multinodosum Sandberger 1859: 99 , pl. 9, figs 5–6). After revision, these specimens were treated as Granulolabium plicatum (Bruguière, 1792) by Harzhauser & Mandic (2001).
