* Cerithium Constantiae Sabba —Stefanescu 1897: 310, pl. 8, figs 1–7.

Type material. Lectotype designated herein: specimen illustrated in Stefanescu (1897: pl. 8, fig. 4), SL: 22 mm, MD: 8.5 mm. We are not aware of the whereabouts of the type specimens.

Type locality. Coada-Malului ( Romania) .

Stratigraphy. Late Miocene, early Maeotian.

Discussion. This species is treated herein as subjective junior synonym of Potamides taitboutii (d’Orbigny, 1844) . Type locality was dated firstly as late Sarmatian (Stefanescu 1897), but later was corrected to early Maeotian ( Wenz 1942).

Eastern Paratethys. Early Maeotian (Late Miocene): Dacian Basin: Coada-Malului ( Romania).
