Geographical distribution: Guyana, Suriname, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, and Argentina.

Distribution in Brazil: North, Northeast, Central-West and Southeast regions (PA, AM, MT, BA, GO, MG, RJ) ( Melin 1929; Todd 1955, 1957a, b; De Carlo 1959; Nieser 1975, 1977b; Schnack & Estévez 1979; Nieser & Melo 1997; Pelli et al. 2006; Souza et al. 2006).

Comments: Todd (1955) recorded the species from “ Brazil: Chapada,” and, as mentioned above for gerromorphan species, the locality is considered part of MT.
