Geographical distribution: Brazil and Bolivia.

Comments: The species was described from Bolivia, and later recorded from Brazil in a checklist of the genus provided by Harris and Drake (1945). No locality detail of the Brazilian material is given in the checklist or in later studies concerning Brachymetra .
