Chilocoris somalicus Mancini, 1939: 295 .

Type data: Holotype (by monotypy) male: Somalia, Belet Amin (Museo Civico di Storia Naturale "Giacomo Doria", Genova, Italy).

Distribution: Ethiopia, Somalia, Yemen.

Note: The taxonomic status of both these subspecies of Ch. somalicus is unclear; detailed studies, especially of the male genitalia based on extensive material are needed to clarify whether they are only morphological subspecies of the same species, or two different species.
