Verodes impressus ( Champion, 1884)

This species is endemic to the state of Veracruz ( Foley and Ivie 2008), specifically in the region of Volán Pico de Orizaba at elevations between 2,400 and 2,700 m, in pine-oak forests to the upper limit of the cloud forest. We add the following records: “ MEXICO: Veracruz, Calcahualco, Tecoanapa, 2-V-1992, 2,400 m, bosque mesófilo, troncos, F. Capistrán, L. Delgado cols.” (2 ♂♂, IEXA); idem except: “ 1 km antes de Nueva Vaquer´ıa, 28-II-1992, 2,670 m, Bosque de pino-encino, dentro de troncos, R. Novelo, F. Capistrán, L. Delgado cols.” (1 ♂, IEXA) .
