TYPE SPECIES. Zammara imbellis Walker 1858a: 2 View in CoL . ( Mexico)
Remarks. The three tarsomeres and the median and anterior cubital veins arising separately from the basal cell distinguish Miranha from Zammara , a genus that is similar in appearance ( Goemans 2010).
Distribution. The only known species of the genus has been reported from Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Panama ( Metcalf 1963a; Sanborn & Maes 2012; Maes et al. 2012; Sanborn 2013).
