Genus Oxyurella Dybowski & Grochowski, 1894

Body ovoid with ventral margins having long feathered setae. Head shield with two separate major head pores with minor head pores in between and lateral to them. Rostrum not elongated. Labral plate cuneiform and blunt. Antennule with 8–9 sensory aesthetes inserted in the rostrum. Swimming antennae with three spines. Post abdomen broad with large anal denticles; terminal claw with 2–3 basal spines.
