Laemanctus longipes Wiegmann 1834 , 46
Laemanctus serratus Cope 1865 , 176
Laemanctus waltersi (E) K. Schmidt 1933, 20. There are two distinct morphological populations of the L. longipes complex in Honduras that occur in definable separate ranges without showing any deviation form their diagnostic external morphology. Therefore, L. waltersi is considered a separate species from L. longipes . This matter will be discussed in more detail in McCranie (in prep.; the non-dactyloid lizards, crocodyles, and turtles of Honduras) and a study of the entire L. longipes complex is planned for the future. Unfortunately, tissues are only available from one of those populations ( L. waltersi ).
