Neosyringophilopsis aegithali ( Bochov, Mironov et Skoracki, 2001) View in CoL

This species was first described from Aegithalos caudatus (L.) ( Passeriformes : Aegithalidae ) from Russia (Bochkov et al. 2001), and was also reported from Poland (Skoracki 2004). Recently, Skoracki and Sikora (2005) replaced this species from the genus Syringophilopsis Kethley, 1970 to the new genus Neosyringophilopsis Skoracki et Sikora, 2005 . It has now been recorded from England.

Material examined. Three females from secondary quills of the long-tailed tit from England, Pool near Leeds (53°53’N, 1°38’W), 24 April 2008, coll. J. R. Hobson.
