Genus Ecclitura Kokujev

Ecclitura Kokujev, 1902:4 . Type species: Ecclitura primoris Kokujev, 1902

Comments. Prior to this paper this genus included one described species, Ecclitura primoris Kokujev , which was recorded occurring in the Palearctic region. Two undescribed species were also recorded, one occurring in India and Vietnam ( Belokobylskij, 2000) and other in New Jersey, USA ( Shaw, 1985).

In the phylogenetic analysis of Stigenberg et al. (2015) the genus Ecclitura was recovered within the tribe Dinocampini together with the genera Betelgeuse , Centistina , Dinocampus and Napo .

Belokobylskij et al. (2013) presented a redescription of the genus Ecclitura . The new species here described agrees with most of this generic description, with the exception of the antenna having 16–18 flagellomeres (15 flagellomeres in the genus description) and the maxillary palpus 5-segmented (3-segmented in the genus description).
