TYPE MATERIAL AND TYPE LOCALITY: AMNH 272942 About AMNH , the holotype by original designation, consists of the skin and skull of an adult female collected 1 km north of the Río Mendoza on Pipeline Road (9.17° N, 79.75° W; 120 m), Parque Nacional Soberanía, Colón province, Panama GoogleMaps .
SYNONYMS: None.
DISTRIBUTION: Marmosa adleri is currently known only from Panama, where it has been collected from near the Costa Rican border to the Colombian frontier (Voss et al., 2021: fig. 2).
