Diagnosis. Body pale brown to brown; head slightly dark each side; abdominal terga pale brown with antecostal ridge and pleurite dark. Ocellar setae I stout, setae II absent. Postocular setae three pairs and stout ( Fig. 14). Antennal segment II without microtrichia ( Fig. 15). Pronotum with discal setae and anteromarginal setae stout ( Fig. 14). Mesonotum without CPS anteromedially; median pair of setae stout and situated far from posterior margin ( Figs. 16, 19). Metascutum sculptured with widely spaced longitudinal anastomosing striae; median pair of setae stout and situated slightly far from anterior margin ( Figs. 16, 19). Abdominal terga without ciliate microtrichia on lines of sculpture, smooth medially; tergum I with median pair of setae about half length of tergum; tergum II with three lateral marginal setae; tergum VIII with B4 setae minute; tergum IX without CPS; sterna without discal setae; sternum VII with median pair of posteromarginal setae situated at or near posterior margin. Male apterous, ocellar setae I and II absent ( Fig. 17); postocular setae I and II stout ( Fig. 17). Antennae 6­segmented, segment VI distinctly longer than that of female, with numerous long setae and without microtrichia ( Fig. 18). Abdominal tergum IX without CPS, SB 1 setae absent; sterna without discal setae ( Fig. 20). Hypomere rounded and slightly swollen at apex ( Fig. 20).

Specimens examined. Germany: 1 female, Un­Franken , Kalbenstein (Karlstadt/ Main), on Trinia glauca , 30­v­1972, R . zur Strassen ( SMF) . 1 female and 1 male, Un­ Franken , Kalbenstein (Karlstadt/ Main), on Trinia glauca , 26­vii­1972, R . zur Strassen ( SMF) .
