Description

Shell length, 15 mm, irregularly ovate, left valve with a considerable convexity. Adhering to hard objects by the umbonal area of the right valve. Surface of the left valve with dense radial riblets on which small spines occur. Shell reddish orange with radial strips.

Type locality

Indian Sea.

Distribution

Indo-Pacific including Japan and Hong Kong. Rocky bottoms. Subtidal 10–300 m. New record for Hong Kong .
