Type species. Maroccoarganiella touarguii by monophyly.

Diagnosis. Minute valvatiform hydrobiid gastropod with hardly visible spire and circular aperture below the half of height of body whorl, neither eyes nor pigment, flat and massive, broad penis with broad and not prominent outgrowth on its right side. Molecular Diagnostic Characters for COI: asymmetric: 81(C), 369(C).

Etymology. Both the shell habitus and penis morphology resemble Italian Arganiella pescei Giusti et Pezzoli, 1980 .
