Types: ♂ holotype and 15 ♂♂, 2 ♀ paratypes from Colombia: Dep. Nariño, Municipio Barbacoas, Corregimiento Altaquer, Reserva Natural Río Ñambí on Rt. 10, ca 50 km. (airline) south of Barbacoas, 165 km west of Pasto, 1300–1450 m, 1°18’N 78°05’W. Holotype and most paratypes deposited at the ICN but 1 ♂ and 1 ♀ paratypes at the VMNH ( Hoffman et al. 2011)
Distribution: known from the Reserva Natural Río Ñambí, SW Colombia.
