Types: Unspecified number of ♂ and ♀ syntypes from Ecuador: "foreste del Rio Peripa " . 10 syntypes are deposited at the MSNG (M. Tavano, pers. comm.).

Distribution: Ecuador.

Comments: Attems (1938) considered this species a synonym of P. fraternus , a decision rejected by Hoffman (1960).
