Description of Bosea massiliensis IK View in CoL 38

Cells are Gram­staining­negative, non­flagellated, nonpigmented, and rod-shaped. Colonies are rhizoid, convex and light brown colored after 3 days of incubation on NA medium at 25° C. Positive for nitrate reduction, Indole production, urea and glucose fermentation but negative for arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and β -galactosidase. Show positive assimilates for D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, trisodium citrate and adipic acid in API 20NE, but negative for capric acid and phenyl acetic acid. Strain IK38 (= NIBRBA0000113857) has been isolated from a freshwater sample, Incheon, Korea .
