Distribution: India: Sikkim, Assam, Cherrapunji ( Werny, 1966; Yoshimoto, 1992; László et al., 2007; Jiang et al., 2015; Zhuang et al., 2017), Kumaon, Nainital ( László et al., 2007). Elsewhere: China, Nepal, Vietnam, Thailand ( Werny, 1966; Yoshimoto, 1992; László et al., 2007; Jiang et al., 2015; Zhuang et al., 2017).

Remark: Thyatira batis is a widely distributed taxon in Eurasia with the following other subspecies: T. batis batis (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Russia, N-NE China, Europe), T. batis formosicola Matsumura, 1933 (Taiwan) and T. batis pallida Rothschild, 1920 (Sumatra) ( László et al., 2007).
