Acuticephala alipuncta Torres 1958: 22 View in CoL (Entre Rios, Argentina).

Remarks. Holotype and specimen marked allotype are deposited in the Museo de La Plata Entomological Collection ( Marino de Remes Lenicov et al. 2015).

Distribution. The species has been reported from Argentina and Uruguay ( Torres 1958, 1961a; Ruffinelli 1970; Duffels & van der Laan 1985; Sanborn 2013; Sanborn & Heath 2014). Ruffinelli (1970) reported an example from San Javier, Río Negro on the western border with Argentina.
