Hister curtatus is newly recorded in New Brunswick. This species has been recorded in Canada from southern Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec as well as from Sable Island and from one site on the mainland (Lake Little, Halifax County) of Nova Scotia ( Fig. 1 View Fig ). It is found in leaf litter and carrion ( Bousquet and Laplante 2006).
