Distribution. A polyzonal transpalearctic species: from Ireland and France in the west to the southern Kuril Islands and Japan in the east, from the southern tundra in the north to Southern Europe, Transcaucasia, Iran, and Shanghai in the south; in the Far East, it has not been found north of 60° N.
