C o m m e n t: The previously known distribution of T. spathulatus was confined to southwestern Yunnan (A SSING 2013). The above material represents the first records from southeastern Yunnan, Thailand, and Vietnam ( Map 2 ). The males from Thailand and Vietnam differ from the type material in that the apex of the ventral process of the aedeagus is only weakly dilated. However, since the aedeagal, the m ales secondary sexual, and the external characters are otherwise identical and since the m ales from East

Yunnan are somewhat intermediate in this respect, the observed differences are attributed to clinal variation. The species is wing-di morphic, the macropterous morph having fully developed hind wings and the brachy pterous morph having wings of reduced length

(approximately twice as long as the ely tra). The presence of a m acropterous morph explains the rather extensive distribution of T. spathulatus . Some of the specimens from

Vietnam are teneral.
