Key to Pacidesmus species

1. Paraterga, even of anterior segments, remaining below level of dorsum. Sterna between male legs 6 and 7 with conspicuous paramedian tubercles. Outgrowth at base of gonopod acropodite short and unciform. Epigean species from Thailand. P. shelleyi

– Paraterga more strongly elevated, especially on anterior segments. Sterna between male legs 6 and 7 usual, unmodified. Outgrowth at base of gonopod acropodite elongate. Cavernicoles from Guizhou, China..................................................................... 2

2. Paraterga of anterior postcollar segments strongly elevated above dorsum ( Fig. 2 ). Caudal corners of paraterga narrowly rounded, but never pointed ( Figs 1–7 ). Outgrowth l at base of a lamelliform; distal part of a bare ( Figs 8 , 11–12 ). ..... P. martensi
