DESCRIPTION. — Largely like A. strigiceps above except for the features listed in the key which refer to a strong, forward produced tooth on the basal angle of the elytra and a mesosternal process that falls nearly vertically, being at most slightly inclined forward. These are characters that can easily be seen even in specimens still with the waxy incrustations found in all the species of the genus. The sides of the rostrum below the insertions of the antennae have a distinct, bare sulcus. The dorsal and ventral lobe of the vulva is well-pigmented to dark triangles.

Length: 2.4-3.2 mm.

TYPE MATERIAL. — Holotype female, 3.0 x 1.85 mm, Table Unio, 900 m, 16.X.1978, sample 78/234, G. Kuschel . Paratypes with BPBM, IRSN, NZAC, QMBA .

ETYMOLOGY. — The Latin adjective ‘humerális’ is to draw attention to the shoulder area of the elytra, which has a rather striking, forward projecting tooth.

REMARKS. — Samples taken consisted of leaf litter in rainforest from 800 to the summit of Table Unio, and at 800 m

on Mt. Rembai from rather dry ground.
