As would be expected, Curculionidae are varied and relatively prolific in New Caledonia and Vanuatu. All species of the Adelognatha group, or Entiminae , that were available for this study are revised below. Other groups that follow this part were selected in the main to clarify the status of species described by Montrouzier and others, and to designate early type material to conform with the Code of the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature.
