Tarut Bay stations: Sta. 3TG-2, 19 November 1984 (one juv.); Sta. 2TS-1, 14 January 1985 (one, one); 3TS-1, 4 September 1986 (one, one juv.); Sta. 4TS-2, 4 September 1986 (one) .
Distribution. This species is probably pantropical–pantemperate in distribution. It is known from many very widely scattered localities in shallow waters of the Indo- West Paci c and from many places in the Caribbean (previously as a junior synonym: A. multiclavus Child, 1977 ) in 0– 5 m. From the above records, it appears to be fairly widely spread in Gulf shallows.
Remarks. This is one of about 20 known Anoplodactylus species which have multiple cement gland openings (from two to ve) on each femur. Unfortunately too many species (about 15) in this genus are described in early literature from females, all of which lack male sexual characters necessary for full description.
