Craspedochaeta concinna species group
The C. concinna group is a weakly supported clade, characterized by the absence of prescutellar acrostichal bristles. Prescutellar acrostichal bristles, however, are present in some specimens of C. concinna , and are absent in C. festiva ( C. transversa group) and several species in the C. biseta species group. The distance between the cross veins in the wing is always greater than the length of the posterior cross vein, and most males (excluding C. phaios ) can be characterized by surstyli that have almost no setae on the outer face.
The order of species descriptions follows figure 116.
