Syntomodectes selenurus (Trouessart, 1885)
Hosts and distribution. This species was described ex Aglaiocercus kingi mocoa (Delattre and Bourcier) (as Cynantus mocoa) ( Apodiformes : Trochilidae ) from “l’Amérique Méridionale” ( Trouessart 1885a). Later on, it was recorded from the same host in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Colombia (Dept. Huila), and ex Adelomyia m. melanogenys (Fraser) from Colombia (Depts. Santander, Magdalena) ( Park & Atyeo 1973a).
