Type locality: Inner Mongolia ( China).

Published (original) locality: “Provinz Ordoss am gelben Flusse”.

Lectotype: ♂, designated by Pesenko & Astafurova 2006: 337, <golden circle> // “77872” [ China, Inner Mon- golia, Huang He River basin] // Epimethea ? nana Mor., Typ. [handwritten by F. Morawitz] // Lectotypus, Morawitzella nana Mor. , des. Pesenko <red label>.

Paralectotypes (2 ♂): 2 ♂, < golden circle> // “77872” [ China, Huang He River basin] // Epimethea ? nana Mor., Typ. [handwritten by F. Morawitz] // Paralectotypus, Morawitzella nana Mor. , des. Pesenko <red label>.

Current status. Morawitzella nana ( Morawitz, 1880) .

Remarks. Female unknown. Shaanxi is mistakenly listed as a type locality by Pesenko & Astafurova 2006: 337. The lectotype specimen was collected by the Nikolay Przhevalsky expedition in Central Asia (1871–1873) during their passage through the historical territory of Ordos (now Ordos City, in a subdivision of Inner Mongolia). Distribution. China (Inner Mongolia).
