Current status. Junior synonym of Merragata hebroides White, 1877 (see DRAKE & CHAPMAN 1958, DRAKE & COBBEN 1960, ANDERSEN 1995, MOREIRA et al. 2011).

Remarks. POISSON (1954) described the species based on 2JJ and 4♀♀ without designating a holotype, so all the specimens must be regarded as syntypes (see ANDERSEN 1995).
