COMMENTS: Dr. Ernst Mayr (1904–2005) collected in the Saruwaget Mountains from 8 December 1928 to 9 April 1929. The operative base was Finschhafen, the coastal town of the Huon­Peninsula, NE­New Guinea. The village Ogeramnang is situated in the foothills of the Saruwaget Mountains at 1785m a.s.l. (see Mayr 1931: 640–646, Greenway 1935, Haffer 1997: 440–446, 809–811 and Steinheimer 2004: 94).
