Diagnosis. The species is superficially close to F. nesiotes sp. nov., and it can be distinguished only by the male genitalia with a digitate median process on the ventral margin of the valva. The male genitalia are also very close to those of F. h e l i a p t a Meyrick as noted in the diagnosis of the latter.

Adult ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 2 – 15 , paratype in USNM). Wingspan, 10.0–12.0 mm.

Material examined. 1♂ (holotype), Kandy, Udawattekelle, 12 XI 1966, gen. prep. no. CIS-5195; 1♂, Gal. Dist., Kanneliya, 200 ft, 15–17 X 1976, gen. prep. no. USNM-88821; 6♂, 10Ψ (paratypes), Kal Dist., Agalawatta, 13–14 X 1976; 4♂ (paratypes) — Kan Dist., Udawattakele, 2,100 ft, 4–5 X 1976, — Rat Dist., Gilimale Lumber Mill, 115 ft, 20–25 X 1976, — Gal Dist., Udugama, Kanneliya Jungle, 400 ft, 6–12 X 1973 and 200 ft, 15–17 X 1976; 1♂, Kegalla Dist., Kitulgala, 9 IX 1980. All type specimens are in the USNM.

Distribution. Sri Lanka.

Remarks. Frisila tricrosura Wu and Park is hardly distinguishable from F. ancylosana Wu and Park , F. thapsina Wu and Park or F. neacantha Wu and Park in superficial appearance, and it is almost impossible to separate the females respectively.
