Large to very large species (13–22 mm), body black, elytra with bluish reflections, abdomen black at most with the tip reddish ( Fig. 128 View FIGURES 124 – 129. 124, 125 ). Head very densely punctate ( Figs. 129 View FIGURES 124 – 129. 124, 125 , 153 View FIGURES 153 – 157 , 158 View FIGURES 158 – 165 ), with interior ocular puncture situated far from inner margin of eye, ocular groove between interior ocular puncture and inner border of eye shallow, but in general distinct, transverse or slightly oblique, temples with two large setiferous postocular puncture, labrum slightly lobate ( Figs. 143 View FIGURES 142 – 146 , 149 View FIGURES 148 – 152 , 154 View FIGURES 153 – 157 , 159 View FIGURES 158 – 165 ).
