Brueelia coryliventer Gustafsson & Bush, 2015: 513 View in CoL View Cited Treatment .
Type host: Creatophora cinerea (Meuschen, 1787) —wattled starling.
Type locality: Isiolo, Kenya .
Brueelia coryliventer was described by Gustafsson & Bush (2015) based on specimens from Kenya and Ethiopia, and the present report constitutes the first report of this species from South Africa. There are no significant morphological differences between these specimens and those reported by Gustafsson & Bush (2015), except that the lateral folds of the mesosome of the two specimens examined from South Africa extend further distally than the median fold in both males, but the genitalia are somewhat distorted, and this could be artifactual. We therefore do not consider this slight difference significant and consider these specimens to be conspecific with B. coryliventer .
