Distribution. India; China (Shaanxi, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangxi, Fujian, Yunnan, Guangdong, Hainan).

Remarks. This species is vector of glassy shoot disease in sugarcane. It is widely distributed in China. Both forms of the aedeagus recorded by Dash & Viraktamath (1998) from India are also found in the Chinese material (see Figs 3 E–H).
