Watara cordata Zhang & Yang, 2011: 66 rec. n. for Thailand

Specimens examined. 5♂♂, THAILAND, Surat Thani, Khao Sok NP Klong Morg Unit, 8°53.725'N 98°39.025'E 87 m, Malaise trap, 16–23.xii.2008, coll. Pongphan (INHS, SKS).

Host Plant. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Yunnan); Thailand ( Surat Thani).

Notes. The specimens collected from Thailand are very similar to the specimens from China (Yunnan) described by Zhang & Yang (2011) in external morphological features but the male body length, 2.3–2.4 mm, is smaller. The structure of the genitalia, including the style, connective and dorsal pygofer appendage, are the same. Although the subapical processes arising from the aedeagal shaft of the Thailand specimens appear to be slightly longer than those of the Chinese type, this may be due to the differences observed from different angles. Besides, the body color is a little bit faded than the Chinese type, because of the alcohol preservation status. So we think they should belong to the same species. Below we provide detailed illustrations of a specimen from Thailand ( Figs 1–4 , 13–22 ).
