REMARKS
Ensete edule View in CoL is the only species mentioned in the designation of this genus ( Horaninow 1862). Ensete edule View in CoL is synonymous to E. ventricosum (Welw.) Cheesman View in CoL , described as Musa ventricosa View in CoL by Welwitsch (1859). However, E. edule View in CoL is generitype of Ensete View in CoL ( McNeill et al. 2006: Art. 10.1).
