Goniocloeus carbonarius Jordan, 1906: 325 View in CoL ; Wolfrum, 1929: 38 (catalog); Blackwelder, 1947: 767 (catalog); Rheinheimer, 2004: 42 (catalog). Type locality: Guatemala: Panzos in Vera Paz (type material in BMNH).

Material examined. PANAMA: [COLÓN] Pipeline Road , VI-30-1974, [cols. C.W. & L.B. O’Brien & Marshall, det. C.W. O’Brien 1996, as Goniocloeus carbonarius Jordan (2, ASUCOB: ASUCOB0014445-0014446).

Distribution. Costa Rica; Panama (Colón *).

(Note: This species is registered for Panama in the catalogue of Rheinheimer (2004). However, it was not possible to confirm the record of specific locality, so we consider these records new for the the Colón Province).
