Distribution. Portugal—Azores and Madeira Is., Spain—Canary Is., France, Italy, Croatia, Albania, Greece, Ukraine—Crimea, southern part of European Russia (Helsdingen, 2015); Azerbaijan (Guseinov, 1999); Kazakhstan (Pavlenko, 1985); SW-Turkmenistan, N-Iran, Turkey, Israel, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, introduced to Saint Helena Is., USA, Brazil, Peru (Platnick & Murphy, 1984; Zamani et al., 2014). Chorotype. Mediterranean.
