Genus Millotellina Jupeau, 1954 View in CoL

Genus diagnosis. Trunk with 15 tergites. The first tergite is rudimentary and some tergites have lateral macrochaetae inserted at the broadest part. The first pair of legs has 4 segments. Styli and coxal sacs are well developed. One or two median ventral processes with numerous pubescence are located between coxal sacs or posterior to them ( Szucsich & Scheller 2011).

Distribution. Ethiopian, Oriental, Australian and Micronesian regions.

Remarks. The genus Millotellina includes 11 species that are grouped into two subgenera. The nominate subgenus Millotellina contains 10 species that have a single median ventral process between each pair of the coxal sacs of legs 5–10/11 or posterior to each of the coxal sacs of legs 4–10: Millotellina splendens Jupeau, 1954 (known from Nosy Bé, Madagascar, Réunion, Sri Lanka); Millotellina parva Jupeau, 1954 ( Réunion) ; Millotellina media Jupeau, 1954 ( Cameroon) ; Millotellina reducta Jupeau, 1957 (New Guinea); Millotellina monteithi Naumann & Scheller, 1977 (northern Australia); Millotellina krakatauanus Scheller, 1988 (Krakatau Islands of Indonesia); Millotellina michelbacheri Jupeau, 1991 ( Micronesia) ; Millotellina remyi Jupeau, 1991 ( Micronesia) , Millotellina centralis sp. n. ( China) and Millotellina bambusinus sp. n. ( China). The second subgenus Diplomillotellina , with paired median ventral processes posterior to each of the coxal sacs of legs 5–9 is represented by single species, Millotellina bidens Naumann & Scheller, 1977 from southern Australia. The genus Millotellina is newly recorded from China in this paper.
