Distribution in Iran: Hormozgan, Sistan-o Baluchestan ( Ebrahimi 1993, 2014). General distribution: India, Iran, Madagascar, Spain.

Remarks: This species was first recorded as Podalonia erythrocephala by Ebrahimi (1993).
