Distribution in Iran: Fars, Ilam (Ebrahimi 2014), Kohgiluyeh-va Boyerahmad ( Ebrahimi 1993), Golestan, Sistan- o Baluchestan ( Gussakovskij 1933), Tehran ( Ebrahimi 1993).

General distribution: Algeria, Croatia, France, Greece, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey.

Remarks: This species was first recorded as Sphex argyrius by Gussakovskij (1933).
