Distribution in Iran: Khorasan-e Razavi (de Beaumont 1957); no specific locality ( Mocsáry 1883; Kohl 1885b; Danilov 2012).

General distribution: Iran, Turkmenistan.

Remark: This species was first recorded as Sphex hispidus F. Morawitz, 1890 by de Beaumont (1957).
