Ariadne solitaria Simon, 1892: 556 (Immature holotype from Saint Vincent Island [13°15'N; 61°12'W], Saint Vincent and Grenadines, deposited in NHM 1894.10 .17.72, examined).

Note. The holotype of A. solitaria was examined and, confirming the information presented by Beatty (1970: 482), it is an immature specimen. This is the only known specimen of Ariadna collected in this locality, and although its resemblance with A. arthuri , the macrosetae pattern of the legs I‒II is different. Until other Ariadna specimens from the type locality could be collected, we here decide to position this species as nomem dubium.
