Zodarion italicum (Canestrini, 1868)

All reports of Z. italicum from Bulgaria and North Macedonia were by Drensky (1913: 60, 1929: 48, 1935: 100, 1936a: 31 (erroneously after Drensky 1932), 1936b: 94, 1940: 173) and Stojićević (1929: 41) and no specimen has been reported over the next more than 80 years. The concerning material (probably lost) has not been examined by the subsequent authors, who either considered the occurrence of the species in the region as doubtful ( Deltshev 1987) or completely omitted it ( Bosmans 1997, map 11); therefore, we remove this species from the lists of Bulgaria and North Macedonia.
